You should allow at least 3 hours for your initial procedure. If you remove facial hair around your lips by tweezing, shaving, threading, or waxing, that should be done a few days before your appointment. Electrolysis or laser hair removal should be completed 5 to 7 days before. You should wear and bring your favourite colour lipstick or lip pencil for colour matching. Additional preparation guidelines will be given to you when you schedule your procedure appointment.
If you are planning a lip colour procedure and have ever experienced a cold sore, even one time in your life, it is recommended you obtain a prescribed antiviral medication (Valtrex 2000mg). The medication must be taken the day before and the day of your treatment.
